Can you believe its only a little over a week unti Can you believe its only a little over a week until my latest novel, Within These Gilded Walls, releases (Oct 4)?

What to expect?

Phoebe Radcliff returns (Lord Torrington's youngest daughter) and gets herself embroiled in a murder investigation as well as an extensive hunt for the lost crown jewels of King John (yes, that King John—the bad guy from Robin Hood).

Crown jewels?

Well, history tells us that in 1216, a year after signing the Magna Carta, King John took a short cut across a tidal estuary in Eastern England and quickly ran into trouble. Rising tides, which can flow as fast as a human runner, swept away the baggage carts, and the crown jewels were never recovered.

Hordes of treasure seekers have sought these jewels over the years in the marshes.

But what if something else happened to them? What if they were actually found long ago, having traveled down a creek, and passed down through the ages, hidden away in a manor house on the coast of England?
